Looking forward to seeing a course like this! I feel the same that there’s no structured materials about becoming an engineering leader. I learned it the hard way when I transitioned to the management role.
I think knowing the requirements & have a reality checklist would be helpful. When I started the process, I was not too clear what I lacked to be an EM.
Also, some examples of what EM are doing everyday would be helpful as well. That would give guidance on what people can do right now even if they don't have the title.
